RIWA Pre-Pride Dance at Letter Carrier Hall in Cranston, RI May 18th

The theme for RI Pride is LOVE FORWARD – How appropriate! RIWA is adopting that theme for our upcoming functions!
Let’s talk about “All Things Pride” as there are lots of activities and ways to celebrate Pride this year!
RIWA is having a Pre Pride Dance at Letter Carriers Hall, 174 Mayfield Ave, Cranston, RI on May 18th. The fun begins at 7:30 pm and don’t forget to bring your own bottle, girlfriend (or dancing partner), snacks and dancing shoes!
We anticipate having a representative of the Rhode Island Pride at the dance to talk about Rhode Island Pride festivities this year. We are also happy that our dance has been posted as an event for the RI Pre-Pride events for women.
There will also be a 50-50 raffle and one half of the proceeds will be donated to RI Pride – the other half goes to the lucky attendee! If any of our members or attendees are interested in making a personal donation to RI Pride they are welcome to do so at the dance.
This is a great night for us to once again, CELEBRATE the passing of the RI Marriage Equality Act – CONGRATULATIONS Rhode Island! As Beyonce says “Single Ladies…If You Like It, Put A Ring On It! Well now you can do that in Rhode Island and your Marriage is totally legal!
Well, don’t just sit there and think about this one – Be Loud and Be Proud of who you are – join us for a rousing evening of fabulous music, potluck and bring your own bottle!
RIWA will be a vendor at the RI Pride event in June. More information to follow!

Membership Renewal:
Where has the year gone? It is that time for membership renewals. RIWA’s membership drive start’s now for 2013. Membership has not increased, it is still only $25 for the year. That is a savings of $35 if you attended all the dances for the year. This is a great organization that needs you and your support.
Remember, you are RIWA. Membership runs from January to
December, and it is only $25 for the year. Right now we have 6 dances
planned and the Annual Cookout. If you attended all the dances it
would cost you $60, that’s a $35 a year savings!!!!!
